The new business model
The new
business model created by DACC makes it possible to sell
virtual products such as Digital Media in brick-and-mortar stores in
the same way as such stores sell any other material products.
The
marketing and sales of Digital Media on the Internet is thus no
more limited to the Net itself, but can use the established channel of
ordinary brick-and-mortar shops. Hence, the customer base is expanded
with those who visit these shops. Mail order becomes another attractive
sales channel.
Payment
for
the Digital Media also becomes very simple as Media is paid
for in the shop as any other material product. No Internet payment
system (eWallet solution) or any use of credit cards on the Internet is
involved. This increases the available customer base even further and
makes it possible also for minors to buy and use Digital Media on the
Net.
The DACC
business model provides prepayment and the provider of the
media or content is in full control of what the customers should pay
for and how much. Micro payments are an integrated functionality of the
